ABOUT

Flat Rock is an oil and gas exploration and production company that develops, funds, and implements drilling programs in the Appalachian Basin, with a focus on the production of natural gas from the Utica Shale and Marcellus Shale formations. We currently operate a position of approximately 20,000 gross developable acres of reserves (including Utica Shale and Marcellus Shale reserves) in the southeastern Ohio counties of Monroe and Washington.

There is a considerable portion of acreage in the Appalachian Basin that is held by independent production companies and individual mineral owners. Many of these parties seek to partner with others with the capital, risk tolerance, and technical capability to produce shale gas. Flat Rock works with these mineral owners to organize drilling programs and invest capital to generate revenue from the vast reserves found in the Utica Shale, Marcellus Shale, and other formations.

Our team has horizontal completion experience, a track record in land acquisition, and extensive drilling, production, and operations experience. In some cases, we seek to improve project economics by finding alternatives to traditional gas marketing. We are adequately capitalized to implement drilling programs on acreage with attractive geology, pipeline access, and other positive characteristics.
